Students who graduated from a Montana GEAR UP high school in 2023 and will be entering college at MSU Bozeman in the Fall of 2023 and/or the Spring of 2024 are eligible for this book borrowing program. Through this program, GEAR UP MSU first-year students will be able to borrow textbooks for the semester at no cost! 

Instructions: 

This program is for GEAR UP MSU first-year students. Complete this application in this order:

  1. Confirm your eligibility (shown at right).
  2. View the MSU Bookstore's "Course Materials 101" webpage and learn how to find which textbooks you need for the classes you registered for. 
  3. Fill out this form online or come into the GEAR UP MSU office located at Renne Library 217 for assistance.
  4. Look for an email confirmation from our office on your materials.
  5. Set up a time to pick up materials at the GEAR UP MSU office.
