The University Chorus is an auditioned choir open to all MSU students. It is intended for people who simply share a passion for singing and hope to build upon their vocal strengths. It rehearses three times per week and performs in concert two times per semester. Its repertoire includes representative works from all historical periods.

Auditions for the University Chorus are held during the first week of classes for fall semester and during the last week of fall classes for participation during the spring semester. Purchase of concert gowns ($65) and tuxedos ($99) is required.

Audition Information

Membership in University Chorus is open to all Montana State University students with auditions held during the first week of classes for the fall semester and after Thanksgiving for new singers for the spring semester.

The chorus performs in several concerts each semester and members are expected to purchase concert attire consisting of tuxes (approx. $99) and gowns (approx. $65).

University Chorus (MUSI 112) rehearses Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1:10 – 2:00. Singers are strongly encouraged to commit to the ensemble for both fall and spring semesters.
