Dr. Alexandra Adams, known for her work to improve health in Native and rural communities, was recently elected to the National Academy of Medicine, considered one of the highest honors in the fields of health and medicine.

EDUCATION CENTER RECEIVES $1.5 MILLION GRANT TO SUPPORT RURAL TEACHERS
With the help of a new $1.5 million grant, Montana State University’s Center for Research on Rural Education has launched a comprehensive effort to help strengthen K-12 rural schools across the state.
$600,000 GRANT TO FUND SUMMER STEM PROGRAM FOR TEACHERS
With a $600,000 grant from the National Science Foundation, MSU will offer a summer program for elementary schoolteachers to gain hands-on research experience and fresh ideas for bringing science, technology, engineering and math into their classrooms.
SHAKESPEARE IN THE SCHOOLS TO TOUR ‘MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING’
For its 29th season, Montana Shakespeare in the Schools has hit the road with a tour of “Much Ado About Nothing.” The group will host 53 performances at 47 schools in communities throughout Montana and Wyoming.
