The 2011-2012 academic year is well underway and I want to take a moment to provide our retail partners with a few updates from campus.
MSU celebrated a new enrollment record with 14,153 students this fall. Despite a decline in the high school student population in Montana, the number of resident students increased at MSU. More Montana students chose MSU, so there are more Bobcats than ever before.
In addition, the successful fall Bobcat athletic season has greatly enhanced MSU's visibility — particularly the #1 ranking in the FCS Football poll this week! The newly enhanced Bobcat stadium added approximately 5,000 new seats, and has set attendance records at Bobcat home football games. We look forward to an exciting playoff season. |

Lastly, with the holiday season just around the corner we encourage you to keep Bobcat fans in mind and capitalize on the excitement.

Sales Status
MSU climbed to #69 in the Collegiate Licensing Company's ranking of top merchandise sales schools, and also appeared on the top 20 list of schools with the largest percentage increases for the quarter ending September 30, 2011. This strong position is a testament to the support of our retail partners and demonstrates significant opportunity for Bobcat gear sales.

Conference Championship Gear
The Bobcat Football team has already clenched at least a share of the 2011 Big Sky Conference Championship title and designs are available from a variety of vendors. Find a list of licensees online at

Blue & Gold Fridays
MSU's Blue & Gold Friday campaign is an ongoing effort that encourages all Bobcat fans to wear Blue & Gold every Friday. Please help us get the word out to Bobcat fans in your area, Blue & Gold Friday promotional posters are available, so please contact us if you would like one to display.
Retail Calendar
As you place your spring orders, please remember the Bobcats! The Bobcat Club will be hosting golf tournaments across the state beginning in May 2012, so make sure you've got a good selection of men's and women's polo and wind shirts. The calendar of Bobcat Club events will be forthcoming in the spring Bobcat Gear Gazette newsletter.
