Schmidt is a native of Denver, Colo. with both a bachelor's (sociology/social work) and a master's degree in journalism from the University of Wyoming. She has worked as a reporter and editor at newspapers in Wyoming, Montana and Ohio. She also has worked in public relations firms in Seattle and San Diego and freelanced for many years. She has worked at the MSU News Service since 1994. Schmidt is the editor of MSU’s Mountains and Minds magazine. She also covers the humanities including the College of Arts and Architecture and portions of the College of Letters and Science.

Steve has been with the Montana State University system since 1978 and with Printing Services since 2001. As the Office Manager, he is responsible for walk-in customer counter service, receiving and assigning jobs to the appropriate departments. He serves as backup for color and large format printing, and MSU Check Printing. He manages all the invoicing and Banner Accounting for Printing Services. He also supervises the part-time student employee and coordinates deliveries.

Sandy has been with University Printing Services since 1981. She is responsible for printing all of the black and white jobs on two high-speed production digital printers.  She manages the Campus Course Packet Program and obtains copyright permissions for professors. She directly supervises one employee. She also coordinates all incoming web and digital submission jobs and controls paper inventory. She serves as backs up for bindery, banner bookkeeping operations and MSU Check Printing.

Mike is the sole press operator in Printing Services in charge of one-color and two-color offset press runs. He prints the MSU envelopes, letterhead and business cards for all campus. He manages all new files designated for the digital plate maker to access for reprints. He also orders and receives paper and supplies and serves as backup for* bindery.  Mike is that hard-to-find press operator who still understands and appreciates the art and the craft of offset printing.

Conrad is the person to contact for questions on sending digital files direct to University Printing Services for maximum quality output. He is responsible for outputting all color jobs to the Xerox Color Printer and large-format color imaging to the EPSON Stylus printer. He serves as backup for black & white printing and bindery.
