Who is eligible to use the Pharmacy?
If you are a full-time student taking seven or more academic, on-campus credits, then you have paid a Health Fee which gives you access to the pharmacy. This fee is payable each fall, spring and summer. Spouses and domestic partners of students can use the pharmacy if they have paid the Health Fee, as can any student with one or more credits who has paid the fee. MSU employees are not eligible to use the pharmacy unless they are also students who have paid the fee.
Spouses may use the pharmacy if they pay a spouse health fee.
Children of students are not eligible to use the pharmacy.
MSU faculty and staff are not eligible to use the pharmacy unless they are students and have paid a health fee.
How is insurance handled at the Pharmacy?
The Health Service pharmacy participates with most prescription insurance plans. Please present your card when you get a prescription filled if you would like us to submit your claim. Any payment or copayment is due at the time the prescription is picked up.
Where can I learn about my medicines?
Ask one of our pharmacists, or take a look at the USP DI: Advice for the Patient Website (simply enter in the brand name of your medication to find information on precautions, side effects, etc.)
