Who is eligible to use the Pharmacy?

If you are a full time student taking 7 credits of more, you have paid a student health fee entitling you to use of the pharmacy regardless of having MSU Student Insurance. If you have MSU Student Insurance, you will have a co-payment of not greater than $20.00 per prescription for a month supply. Please refer to insurance brochure for details of the plan.

If you do not have the MSU student health insurance plan, you are responsible for the entire cost of your prescription. We may be able to bill other insurance plans if they are managed by one of the following Pharmacy Benefits Managers:

  • Caremark
  • Diversified (DPS)
  • EHS
  • Express Scripts
  • Montana Medicaid
  • MSU Student Insurance
  • PCS
  • Pharmacare

Please bring your insurance card to the pharmacy if you would like to have us bill your insurance.

A separate Health Fee for service at the SHS must be paid each fall, spring, and summer semester.

Spouses may use the pharmacy if they pay a spouse health fee.

Children of students are not eligible to use the pharmacy.

MSU faculty and staff are not eligible to use the pharmacy unless they are students and have paid a health fee.
