Bachelor of Arts in Music

In general, all BA students should be working through the music theory, aural skills, and keyboard class requirements in a sequential, concurrent nature as well as continuation with large ensemble participation and private studio enrollment and/or advancement if appropriate. 

1st and 2nd year BA in Music students will be meeting with School of Music Advisor, Kat Carney.

BA in Music students who have successfully completed MUSI 206, please email Dr. Harney with your available 15 minute time slots and he will follow-up with when you can meet. Change of majors and transfer students should meet for initial intake with Dr. Jon Harney.  

Music Education

If you have received emails from the Education Department asking you to register for online advising, please ignore those requests.  Music education majors advise within the School of Music.

1st and 2nd year Music Education students will be meeting with School of Music Advisor, Kat Carney.

Music Education students who have successfully completed MUSI 206 will be meeting with Dr. Kristin Harney. Change of majors and transfer students should meet for initial intake with Dr. Kristin Harney.  

 

Music Technology

In general, all Music Technology students should be working through the music theory, aural skills, keyboard class requirements and MUST courses in a sequential, concurrent nature as well as continuation with large ensemble participation and private studio enrollment and/or advancement if appropriate. 

1st, 2nd, and 3rd year Music Technology students who are not enrolled in or have not completed MUST 380 or MUST 384 will be meeting with School of Music Advisor, Kat Carney.

Music Technology students who are enrolled in or have successfully completed MUST 380 or MUST 384 will be meeting with Dr. Linda Antas. Change of majors and transfer students should meet for initial intake with Dr. Linda Antas.

 

Music Minor

In general, all students pursuing a minor in music should be working through the music theory, aural skills, and keyboard class requirements in a sequential, concurrent nature as well as continuation with large ensemble participation and private studio enrollment and/or advancement if appropriate.

All Master of Music in Music Education students advise with Dr.KristinHarney.
