The sound system tests will include static, ascending and descending tones, music and mic checks. Monday's testing should be at a low level, but full-volume testing is possible at any point between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
This is a one-time set-up and testing of the new sound system and will help technicians focus game-day sound within the Bobcat Stadium to the greatest extent possible.
Bobcat Stadium's new sound system and scoreboard are part of a suite of improvements that will greatly enhance the game-day experience for MSU football fans. The improvements include a new southern end zone that will add 5,200 seats to the stadium.
The public is invited to a dedication ceremony for the renovated Bobcat Stadium the evening of Friday, Sept. 9. The Bobcats will open their home season against UC Davis the following day. It's the Bobcats' "Gold Rush" game where all fans are encouraged to wear the gold of the university's blue and gold colors.
