The farmer-owned Organic Valley co-op will be bringing its national tour of organic farmers to MSU on Thursday, Sept. 29 at two events:

At 11 a.m., a Generation Organic farmer will give a presentation in the Procrastinator Theatre titled "Generation Organic: Own Your Food, Drive Your Future." This event is sponsored by the Sustainable Food & Bioenergy Systems Degree program at MSU, MSU Friends of Local Food, and Organic Valley. It is free and open to the public. The Generation Organic (Gen-O) Tour Bus will be parked adjacent to MSU's Bozeman campus in the Town & Country Foods parking lot on 11th Avenue from 8 a.m. to noon. Future organic farmers from the tour will be on hand to with free coffee and to answer questions about organic agriculture.

The Gen-O Tour is traveling by a biofuel-fueled bus through the Pacific Northwest and California this fall, making stops along the way at colleges, universities, farmers markets, retail locations, and community events to present on organic food and farming.

Organic Valley is a cooperative of more than 1,600 farms.
