Montana State University's three choral groups will perform together at the annual MSU Fall Choral Concert set at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, in Reynolds Recital Hall.

The concert will feature the University Chorus directed by Jon Harney, the MSU Chorale conducted by Kirk Aamot, and the Montanans, also with Aamot conducting. The event, the choirs' first performance of the 2011-2012 academic year, is free and open to the public.

Reynolds Recital Hall is located inside Howard Hall, the MSU music building that is located across South 11th Avenue from the MSU Duck Pond.

The University Chorus will perform the Dixit movement from Mozart's "Vespers" as well as "Lerchengesang" by Mendelssohn and "Where Your Bare Foot Walks" by David Childs.

The Montanans will sing "Four Phrases from Psalm 91," a suite in four short movements written by MSU distinguished alumnus Daniel Bukvich. English horn player Beth Antonopulos and pianist Julie Gosswiller will accompany the Montanans.

The MSU Chorale will sing the first movement of Igor Stravinsky's "The Wedding," accompanied by Laurel Yost (piano) and Stephen Versaevel (percussion), along with choral music by Ola Gjeilo and Marques Garrett. The Chorale will perform "The Wedding" in its entirety in March 2012.
