Participating students will be enrolled in "Marketing 447 -- Marketing Mix," a senior-level course taught by business instructor Minette Jessup. Throughout the semester, small teams of students will analyze marketing elements of new or existing products and services. Each project will be customized to the business or non-profit organization's needs and focus on areas such as target market research, pricing and competitor analysis, distribution and website evaluation or promotional activity development. Organizations are asked to commit to approximately four monthly meetings with the students during the semester, which runs from Jan. 11 through May 4. In exchange, the organizations will receive documented research and proposed recommendations.
The MSU College of Business is accepting applications from businesses and non-profit organizations until Dec. 14. Organizations that apply will be notified of the selection results by Dec. 23.
