BOZEMAN - Montana State University's workforce and professional development courses for Spring 2012 are now open for registration.

This semester, Extended University offers perennial favorites like Excel, Access, Quickbooks and flight school. New courses include Search Engine Optimization, How to Start a Business in Montana, and Climate Change in the Northern Rockies, among others. Most courses are three to 12 hours and take place at MSU's Downtown Education Center near the Bozeman post office. Some take place on campus.

Most courses are non-credit and offered for those seeking to improve professional expertise or learn a new skill. However, some courses also offer an academic credit option, and most provide optional Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or OPI units for teachers.

To see the full course listing, visit http://eu.montana.edu/noncredit. Catalogs are also available on campus in EPS 128 and 200 Culbertson as well as in Bozeman at the Chamber of Commerce, Prospera Business Network, Job Service, and the public library; in Livingston at the Job Service and Chamber of Commerce; in Belgrade at Career Transitions; and in Big Sky at the Chamber of Commerce.
