Larry Rohter, author of "Brazil on the Rise," will speak and answer questions for the University Honors 204 class Great Expeditions to Brazil during teleconference to be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, in the Burns telecommunication center, EPS, room 126.

The event is open to the public.

Rohter served as a correspondent in Rio de Janeiro for 14 years for Newsweek magazine and later as The New York Times bureau chief. He is widely considered a top expert on Brazil. Currently he is the culture reporter for The New York Times.
