The Montana State University Chorale will perform a Bon Voyage Concert prior to leaving on a two-week performance tour of Europe. The concert is set at 8 p.m. Sunday, May 20, at Hope Lutheran Church in Bozeman.

The concert is free and open to the public. Donations to support the choir's tour will be accepted.

The University Chorale will tour and perform in Vienna, Prague, Leipzig, Dresden and Berlin from May 21-31, giving five performances during the 10-day tour, including a final concert in the Berliner Dom.

"Opportunities such as these to visit important centers of music history are what make these tours so valuable to the students," said Kirk Aamot, a professor of music in the MSU School of Music. Aamot said the Chorale tours Europe every three years.

The first half of the concert program will include well-known works by European composers who lived and worked in the cities that the Chorale will visit. The second half of the program will feature American music including compositions by 21st century choral composers Daniel Gawthrop, Guy Forbes and Moses Hogan.

Hope Lutheran Church is located at 2152 W. Graf St., near the intersection of South 19th and Graf Street.
