BOZEMAN - Montana State University's Extended University is offering several upcoming courses in graphics and business applications software. All courses take place at the Downtown Education Center, 20 E. Olive in Bozeman, near the downtown post office.
Access Level 1 begins Feb. 20 and runs from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Friday, Monday and Wednesday. Access is Microsoft's database software, and students will learn to open, navigate and close database objects; view forms and reports; look at queries, and many other topics.
Excel: 21 Tips and Tricks is one of Extended University's most popular classes. The three-hour class is held on Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The course is designed for both beginning and advanced users of Excel and will include many features you might never know existed.
Word Advanced runs on Monday and Wednesday, Feb. 25 and Feb. 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The course is for people who already use Word but want to maximize their skills to include bookmarks, cross references, index creation, advanced graphics manipulation, macros and much more. Bring your questions!
Dreamweaver Basic runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 27 and March 1, 6 and 8. Dreamweaver is Adobe's Web development software that allows users to create and modify professional Web pages. This course is for those just starting out using the software or for students who need a refresher. Courses later in the semester cover more advanced Dreamweaver skills and topics.
