A concert Friday, Sept. 13, by one of the most world's celebrated tuba players will benefit Montana State University's marching band.
Tuba virtuoso Patrick Sheridan will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13 in Reynolds Recital Hall.
Sheridan will play alongside MSU music students, faculty and members of MSU's Spirit of the West Marching Bands in the Tuba Kick-off Concert.
An extraordinary showman, Sheridan has performed more than 3,000 concerts in more than 50 countries in venues that range from the White House to NBA half-time shows to the Hollywood Bowl. At the age of 20, Sheridan became a member of “The President’s Own United States Marine Band." During his military service, he became one of the “The President’s Own” primary soloists. Since then, Sheridan has gone on to become a diverse artist with a fan following throughout the world.
Tickets for the concert are are $10 adults/$5 students. To reserve tickets, send a message with subject line "Tuba Tickets" to firstname.lastname@example.org. Include a name for the reservation as well as the number of general seating tickets to be reserved. Tickets must be reserved by 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept.12. Remaining tickets will be sold at the door prior to the performance.
All proceeds from the concert will fund the Spirit of the West Marching Band endowment to support student scholarships.
