Proposals are due March 9 for Bozeman Soup II, a micro-funding program for local creative projects. The event is part of the MSU President's Fine Arts Series held throughout March.
Based on a successful microfunding program that began in Detroit, Bozeman Soup II is a dinner set for 6 p.m. Friday, March 21, at the Bozeman Eagles Club on Main Street. For $7, or $5 students, those attending will receive soup, bread and the opportunity to vote on four project presentations that will be presented throughout the night. The first Bozeman Soup was held last November and $650 was raised for the winning presentation.
Proposals can range from art, eco-agriculture, social justice, social entrepreneurs, education or technology. Those wishing to submit proposals are asked to submit proposals including the name of the project, a summary about the project and why it matters to the Bozeman community, time frame and how Soup funding would be used in the realization of the projects. Projects selected must prepare a four-minute presentation for the event.
