Eric Hyyppa, director and general manager of KUSM-TV, MontanaPBS at Montana State University, will discuss “The Future of TV and PBS in a Changing World” at a free Friday Forum set for noon Friday, March 14, at the Bozeman Public Library’s large community room.

Hyyppa will discuss issues such as changing content producers, the move to on-demand and online access, the educational opportunities PBS offers, the changes and problems with content distribution (cable, satellite, streaming, other), broadband to rural areas, and the divvying up of distribution by the Federal Communications Commission.

The forum is co-sponsored by Wonderlust, a lifelong learning organization affiliated with MSU's Extended University, and the Bozeman Library Foundation.

Friday Forums are designed to address topics of local interest. They are free and open to the public.
