Bozeman - A team of volunteers will deliver “good neighbor bags” on behalf of the Good Neighbor Committee on Saturday, April 5. The campaign will drop 400 bags on doorsteps near Westridge Drive in Bozeman.
The reusable bags will contain tips on how to be a good neighbor, a community event calendar, contact information for places that accept furniture donations and a Streamline bus schedule. Bags will also contain an invitation to Bobcat Fest, which will be held on April 25 in downtown Bozeman.
This is the sixth “good neighbor bag” distribution by the Good Neighbor Committee, which consists of representatives from Montana State University, Associated Students of MSU, the City of Bozeman, Peak Property Management, the Downtown Bozeman Association and First Security Bank. The committee has already delivered more than 2,700 bags to households in Bozeman.
"The bags are designed to encourage people to think about what it means to be stewards of community," said Chelsea Schmidt, assistant director of business and community relations. "The theme for this month’s bag is reminding people to be good neighbors of our environment. As we transition from winter to spring, we want to make sure we are being courteous to our neighbors and surrounding areas by keeping Bozeman looking nice.”
