BOZEMAN -- The third annual Blue and Gold Ball, the largest event run solely by Montana State University students, will be held Friday, April 4, at MSU’s Strand Union Building.

This formal event for MSU students, alumni and members of the community will include live music by the Basement Jazz Band, DJ Epsilon later in the evening, a silent auction and full bar.

Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. The event will run from 8 p.m. until midnight in SUB Ballroom A. The dress code is black tie formal, so women should wear cocktail or full-length dresses. Men should wear suits or tuxedos.

The ball is organized by the Blue and Gold Committee, a group of student leaders from several clubs and diverse disciplines. Each year, the group selects a charity organization in the greater Bozeman area and gives the proceeds to that organization. Proceeds this year will go to the Bozeman Trail Project. Past donations have gone to the Boys and Girls Club and Relay for Life.

General tickets cost $15 in advance or $20 at the door. The cost of VIP tickets is $50, which includes exclusive access to a VIP room.

Tickets can be bought at the AskUs Desk in the SUB, at TicketsWest online at or First Montana Bank.
