Montana State University’s Pi Sigma Alpha chapter of Mortar Board was among the outstanding Mortar Board chapters to be recognized at the 2014 Mortar Board National Conference, held last summer in Atlanta.
The chapter was one of 64 chapters nationally that received the organization’s Silver Torch Award given to chapters executing timeliness and dedication while exemplifying the ideals of scholarship, leadership and service. Silver Torch Award recipients are selected based on a review of national records, requiring that the chapter meet all of the national minimum standards and deadlines. The award was presented at the society’s national conference, held last summer in Atlanta.
Mortar Board is a national honor society recognizing college seniors for superior achievement in scholarship, leadership and service.
