The Montana State University Recreational Sports and Fitness Department will hold a two-day certification workshop for personal fitness trainers. The workshop runs from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, April 11, and from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.  Sunday, April 12, at MSU’s Hosaeus Fitness Center. It is open to the general public.

The certification course includes demonstrations and examples of practical application of one-on-one training. It also includes a review of exercise science, communication skills, exercise programming and more. A written exam and two-year certificate are included.

The course is accredited by the NCCA and is offered through the National Exercise Trainers Association, or NETA. Cost is $399 until March 12, or $449 thereafter.
