Tickets are now on sale through the Bobcat Ticket Office for Montana State University School of Music's popular Madrigal Dinner, which will be held at 6:30 p.m. both Saturday, Dec. 5, and Sunday, Dec. 6, in the ballrooms of MSU's Strand Union Building.

The traditional holiday feast will also be held Thursday, Dec. 3, in Big Sky.

The 50th annual production transports contemporary guests to a Renaissance feast which, this year, will feature former MSU music professor and choral director Lowell Hickman as “Lord of the Manor.” Hickman’s appearance is in recognition of his nearly 40 years as director of the event, according to current MSU Professor and Choral Director Kirk Aamot. Members of the MSU choral groups will become knaves and wenches who perform the traditional carols sung for centuries during the 12 days of Christmas.

MSU Catering will prepare a menu featuring a pork loin dinner or a vegetarian option with all the fixings. The dinner ends with traditional English pudding.

Tickets for the MSU performances are $35 and may be purchased at the Bobcat Ticket Office in the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse, which is open 9 a.m-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Parking for ticket buyers is provided in the lot directly below the ticket office.  Tickets may also be purchased over the phone (994-CATS) or online at ticketswest.com (search “madrigal dinner”). A convenience fee is required for purchases made online or over the phone.  Tickets will be on sale until Dec. 3, or until they are all sold.

The Big Sky dinner will be held at Bucks T-4 at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3.  Tickets for that performance may be purchased by calling the Big Sky Association for the Arts, 995-2742.
