Bozeman--Two Montana State University computer engineering students each received $4,000 scholarships from RightNow Technologies, a Bozeman-based information technology firm.

Ruben Martin, a senior from Bozeman, and Kyle McIntyre, a junior from Deer Lodge, received the RightNow Scholarships, which include paid internships at the high-tech firm.

In 2002 and 2003, Martin represented MSU at the regional Association of Computer Machinery programming contest. Ruben has interned with Boeing in Seattle and served as Microsoft's student ambassador at MSU. He is currently a College of Engineering student ambassador and is completing a summer internship at RightNow Technologies.

McIntyre's academic accomplishments include recognition on both the College of Engineering Dean's List and the President's List for two years. This fall, Kyle will intern at RightNow Technologies. He plans to seek a leadership position as project manager of an information technology team in the financial services industry.

"The scholarship support provided by RightNow Technologies is significant," said Michael Oudshoorn, head of MSU's computer science department. "Student interns benefit from working on real-world applications during their internship experience."

RightNow Technologies describes itself as a leader in providing web-based, customer service solutions to businesses. Thirty-eight percent of RightNow's employees at the Bozeman headquarters are MSU alumni.
