BOZEMAN--Seniors Brett Schandelson of Great Falls and Jason Scott of Butte received the Montana State University College of Letters and Science outstanding student awards for 2004-2005 year.

The two received Dean's Award for Excellence, given to the top seniors in Letters and Science.

Schandelson, a political science major, was selected top senior in the letters, or humanities section of the college. He was a member of the Mortar Board Honor Society, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society. He also was a student fellow in the University Honors Program.

Scott, a physics major, was selected top senior in the science category of the college. Scott was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, the Golden Key National Honor Society and a student member of the solar physics division of the American Astronomical Society. He graduated with honors and was in the Undergraduate Scholars Program at MSU.
