Bozeman -- Melissa Richey has been selected as the new development officer for the Montana State University College of Letters and Science.

Richey was hired following a national search, and joined the College of Letters and Science on Jan. 3.

Richey returns to Bozeman following four years with the Duke University School of Law in Durham, N.C. As director of the Law School's Annual Fund, she planned and ran a $2 million comprehensive annual fund program, achieving record-setting growth. Previously, she was the development coordinator and office manager for the Sonoran Institute, a Bozeman non-profit organization. Richey will receive a Master's in Public Administration degree from the University of North Carolina this spring.
