Bozeman - Two students enrolled in the Montana State University College of Business have received scholarships from the American Society of Women Accountants.

Both Melissa Ostberg, an accounting major from Oilmont, and Brea Ackerman, also an accounting major, from Helena, received the ASWA Billings Chapter Mary Craig scholarship and the ASWA Billings Chapter Women in Transition Scholarship.

Dennis Lusin, President Elect for ASWA's Montana Chapter said the candidates qualified for the scholarships by exhibiting a passion for their profession, strong GPAs and work experience, community involvement and letters of recommendation played and integral part of the decision.
The mission of ASWA is to enable women in accounting and related fields to achieve their full personal, professional and economic potential and to contribute to the future development of their profession.
