The Montana State University Wind Ensemble will kick off the celebration of 100 Years of Bands at MSU with a "Marches in March" concert set 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at Reynolds Recital Hall. Reynolds Recital Hall is located in Howard Hall on the MSU campus.

The MSU Wind Ensemble will be joined by Captain Johnson Lee, who will conduct two of his original marches, "Pride, Discipline, and Honour" and "For the People, For the Nation." The pieces will both premiere in America under his baton at MSU. Lee enlisted into the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) in 1989, became a professional saxophonist with the SAF Music and Drama Company and won a scholarship to study at the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall in London.

The concert, and Lee's appearance, are funded by Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR).
