The MSU Women's Center will present a special lecture in honor of Women's History Month, "The Uniqueness of Eleanor Roosevelt as First Lady," at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, in SUB 168.

Joan Hoff, research professor of history and author of "Without Precedent: The Life and Career of Eleanor Roosevelt," will discuss the life of Mrs. Roosevelt and why no first lady should try to fill her shoes. Hoff says Roosevelt's record remains unprecedented, even when considering modern presidential wives and career women such as Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama.
