Workplace conflict, managing change, and negotiation skills are the subjects of an all-day workshop for business professionals set for Thursday, May 21, on the campus of Montana State University.

The session runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Montana Manufacturing Extension Center, 2310 University Way, Building 2, which is located south of the MSU campus, between Museum of the Rockies and the MSU Stadium. Check-in and breakfast begin at 8 a.m.

Instructor Paul Bentley of MSU's Extended University will help participants examine the impact of significant change on both individuals and work teams, and he will share practical ways to manage transition. Bentley will also cover strategies for identifying and addressing workplace conflicts as well as the basic tools for proactive negotiation. The workshop is appropriate for people in all levels of an organization, particularly leaders.

The event is sponsored by MSU Extended University's Applied Leadership Program and the Prospera Business Network. Registration is $99, which includes breakfast, lunch and all materials. Prospera Business Network members receive a $20 discount. Pre-registration by May 18 is required.
