The Montana State University Department of Music will present "Switched-On Sleigh Ride," a free Sunday Night Multimedia Series concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, in Reynolds Recital Hall in Howard Hall on the MSU campus.

The concert will feature electronic music, video art and instrumental performance by MSU students. Featured composers and filmmakers include Callie Benjamin, Gracia Black, Ethan Cayko, Mickey Guida, Chase Hanebrink, Sam Haugestuen, Andrew Keller, David Kelly, Kira Lee, Reid Loessberg, Garrett Rhinard, Bobby Riviere, Logan Stahley and Alex Thomas, with live drum set performance by Andrew Keller.

"The concert will take the audience from a holiday thrill ride featuring the first skiing of the season, to a contemplative winter mood questioning man's relationship to violence, nature, and the divine," according to Kristi McGarity, MSU music professor who is director of the MSU music technology program. "And because it wouldn't be the Sunday Night Multimedia Series without a non sequitur or two, another piece featuring cowboys in space."

As always, the Sunday Night Multimedia Series will be presented with live sound diffusion through a multichannel speaker system. The concert is sponsored by the MSU music technology program, which offers a Bachelor of Arts in Music Technology.

More information is available at http://www.montana.edu/musictech, or by contacting McGarity at 994-5762.
