MSU Collegiate FFA is seeking 21 judges for its Agricultural Sales Career Development event from 12:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 25, at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds as part of the Montana FFA State Convention.

In the Agricultural Sales event, high school students attempt to sell an agriculturally -related product to a pair of judges in a role-playing situation. They also participate in a customer-order-taking-extemporaneous situation where they are evaluated on their ability to fill an order to the judges' satisfaction. Participants also work together as a team to develop and present marketing strategies for a company; the judges play the role of the company owners.

Judges need not have an agricultural background. Judges will be asked to attend a training session before the contest. Novice judges will be paired with more experienced ones.

To volunteer, contact Rikki Murrill at 406-231-4422 or r_murrill@yahoo.com.

MSU Collegiate FFA is a registered student organization and is open to any student interested in agriculture or developing their leadership potential. The organization's faculty advisor is Carl Igo at 994-3693 or cigo@montana.edu.
