To celebrate Financial Literacy Month 2011 in April, the Montana University System- Office of Student Financial Services (SFS) has launched a Financial Literacy Contest awarding four $500 scholarships.

To enter, contestants must set up an account with www.getmoneysmarts.org. Students can begin to build and maintain a budget and receive the tools necessary to make smart financial decisions now and for the future. Contestants than must "like" the Get Money Smarts Facebook page found at www.facebook.com/getmoneysmarts. Students will continue to receive financial literacy and budgeting tips. In the final step, contestants will submit their best financial advice, which will be shared will all Montana students.

The SFS staff will determine the top 10 responses, and four winners from the top 10 entries will be determined by public vote via Facebook. Winners will receive a $500 scholarship. For details and to enter, students can visit www.facebook.com/getmoneysmarts beginning April 4.

Contest winners will be announced Monday, May 2.
