Lance Walters, a visiting scholar at the MSU School of Architecture, will present "Technology in Design" at 5 p.m. Monday, July 11, in Cheever Hall 215 on the MSU campus.

Walters' lecture will be a condensed overview of his recent work, research and interests. His projects relate to technology in design and include a new library in Seattle and a physics research and testing facility operating 8,000 feet below the surface of the earth.

Originally from Alaska, Walters graduated from MSU in 2006 with a master's degree in architecture and has worked at design firms throughout the U.S. and abroad. Most recently, Walters completed a post-professional degree at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

The lecture is registered for one hour of AIA continuing education units.
