TEACHING AND LEARNING COMMITTEE
The mission of the Montana State University Teaching and Learning Committee is to support and promote advances in student learning through improvements in teaching. The TLC reflects the collective expertise and continued commitment to excellence in teaching by allocating funds for faculty development projects; supports assessment and outcomes on campus by sponsoring teaching improvement activities; and supports attendance at instructional development workshops that provide the potential to impact teaching methods on campus. The TLC also sponsors and maintains the Teaching and Learning Resource Page accessible to faculty and students, which provides a forum for a better understanding of teaching and learning. Specific goals include how students learn, how they develop intellectually and develop as active citizens and lifelong learners; how they perceive their learning needs; and how to create a positive context for learning and the teaching processes inherent therein.
