General Science Broadfield Teaching

The General Science Broadfield program prepares students to teach all middle and senior high school science areas.

General Science Broadfield Teaching – B.S. in Secondary Education (5-12), General Science Broadfield Option

The general science broadfield teaching option within the secondary education major prepares students to teach an array of middle and high school science subjects, from chemistry and physics to geology and earth sciences. Montana State's Department of Education provides foundation coursework which is valuable to teachers at all levels in such areas as history and philosophy of education, multicultural education, educational psychology, human development, assessment, curriculum, content area reading, instructional computing, and exceptionality. Student teaching in area and regional schools is carefully structured and supervised to empower them to be leaders in a dynamic professional environment following graduation and licensure.
