Communication
- A strategic communication program from pre-entry and throughout the MathUp experience
will give you the best advantage to understand the resources available, engage in
self-discovery, practice self-agency and form new habits of mind around the nature
of college learning and educational growth.
- Pre-entry Survey – We want to know YOU, your prior experiences with math, as well as your expectations
for MathUp.
- Phone Outreach - Following up on the pre-entry survey, success advisors seek to establish a one-to-one
relationship with you and a customized a support experience for each student.
- Personalization - Connect you directly with success advising, tutoring and CATalyst mentoring contacts.
- GroupMe – Students connected to their classmates via a text-chat group are able to help each
other and point each other in the right direction. Text chat creates an instant community
with peers and success advisors to support you.
Community Learning Assets

connect with classmates, and make studying more effective and efficient.

learn” and making studying priorities, as well as for engagement, reflection and growth—peer
to peer.

student!CATalysts are especially helpful in supporting knowable and effective use of D2L,
