Professional certification may be obtained after completion of the Academy and submission of the Test Documentation Booklet

FSTS certification is accredited by both national and international accrediting bodies:
International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC)
and National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (NPQS)

• Equipment Maintenance & Testing

• Vehicle Extrication
• Low Angle Rope Rescue
• Fire Dept Communications

Spots in the academies fill quickly. In order to reserve a spot, the application and tuition must be completed and paid in full within 60 days of the start of the academy you are attending.

Cost:
Tuition (includes one meal per day) - $1950-MT Fire Service Member 
$2950-Private/Out-of-State

Schedule:
Generally 0800 to 2030, however several evenings may go until 2200.

Expect assignments each night in preparation for the next day’s training or testing.

Personal Protective Equipment:
Participants are expected to bring PPE, including leather gloves, helmet, hood, boots, bunker pants, coat, earplugs, and knee pads.

Lodging options:
Academy participants are responsible for their own lodging. Lodging option will be included in your acceptance letter.
