Youth Council Minutes- Unapproved

Our last meeting was on  January 15th at 3  there were five members present.

Irene Melaina Becca Abby Olivia and Ashton.

President Ashton called the meeting to order at 3:07  the first old buiness we disscused was how the youth retreat went. It was decided for our next youth retreat we need to have more active  games and activities.

After that we discussed our youth council goals and marketing  opportunities. Next we made plans for our fair events. Root beer floats will be held at the BHB on wednesday, Melaina and Irene will be incharge of the outdoor games on thursday, Abby and Oliva will be in charge of the scavenger hunt all day friday. Becca, Abby and Oliva will be in charge of the roadio line up.

Our next item of discussion was selling 4H masks for the 4H foundation. We decided that prizes would be offered for the club with the most masks sold per person in the club. Some of the prizes could include pizza, ice cream and one other option. We also decided that the masks should be sold for 10$ each instead of the original 15$.

After that we discussed the proposed movement of under weight pigs being sold at the end of market. After much discussion we reach the conclusion that they should not be sold because it will hurt 4H swine in the long run.

Finally we discussed the proposed changes to fair premium checks and ribbon money. Ideas we came up with to save money and not entirely cut out premiums were: reusing ribbons, taking away white ribbon premuioms and lower premium amounts.
