Youth Council Minutes- Unapproved

The Youth Council meeting was called to order at 3:00 by President Zoe Schneider. The meeting was held at the BHB.

Previous Minutes:

  • Minutes from the January meeting have been sent out and approved accordingly.

Unfinished/Old Business:

  • Ultrasound technology at fair 
  • Ultrasounds will allow us to find quality of carcass without having to wait for weeks or looking at hanging animals • This way everybody gets judged
  • New industry standard
  • Graduating seniors will sell first
  • After grand and reserve champion market class
  • Everyone else draws like normal

New Business:

  • Youth Council events at fair
  • We would do them Wednesday-Friday evenings
  • Root beer floats? • Farm relays?
  • Water bucket relay
  • Water balloon fight toss*
  • Sponge & water relay/challenge • Hula hut
  • “over-under”
  • Maybe just one night with lots of games?
  • *Tentatively*: 4-H Summer Olympics @ 6:30 PM on Friday, location TBD

Other Announcements:

  • Montana 4-H Rec-Lab: March 18-20th, registration due March 1st
