Olivia Harris called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.  Olivia led the pledges. 

Minute Approval

The minutes from the previous meeting stand approved.

Treasurer:
  • Looking for a youth member to be treasurer. 

Committee Reports

  • Outdoor

    • Meeting will be on February 10th at 5:30 p.m. in the Extension Office.  There will be discussion about carcass evaluation for fair and livestock photos. 

  • Council

    • Meeting will be on February 12th at 6:00 p.m. in the BHB. ZSuites is a new website for Record Book keeping.

  • Other
    • Swine tagging will be on April 19th at the BHB Scale House. 

Old Business

  • Fair Activities

    • Wednesday was approved for Root Beer floats at 6:00 p.m. in the BHB.  

    • Thursday was changed to a movie at 6:00 p.m. in the multi-purpose building.

    • Friday was changed to a scavenger hunt. We will have a meeting at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. Prizes for the scavenger hunt will be handed out at 7:00 p.m.

    • Saturday will be games while standing in a line then later will be moved to the BHB.

    • N/A

New Business

  • County Events
    • For something to be a County Event it must be open to everyone, 4-H promotional or 4-H learning component and must be hosted by 4-H. County Events cannot be meetings and may not be mandatory. 
  • Sale Order
    • There was discussion about switching around sale order times to improve sale prices and buyers’ interest. A survey will be sent out.
  • Sponsoring Hog Pens
    • When someone sponsors a hog pen their name will be posted on a metal plate and attached to the hog pen permanently.

  • Outdoor meeting will be on February 10th at 5:30 p.m. in the Extension Office. 
  • Council meeting will be on February 12th at 6:00p.m. in the BHB.
