MEDS 541 - Clinical Practicum, 1 credit, (MSU)

This course is designed for students in the Post Bacc Pre-Medical Certificate and MS in Health Sciences program. Students will spend 4 hr per week rotating through various departments at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital to become more familiar with the health care environment.  Students will also have the opportunity to spend 4-5 evening sessions organized and presented by local physicians to discuss the health care system, ethics and politics associated with health care and medicine.

MEDS 575 - Individual Problems, 3-6 credits, (MSU)

This course will provide the mechanism for MS in Health Sciences students to complete the scholarly project necessary to meet the degree requirements.  Although the project is designed as an individual study, students are advised to seek 1-2 faculty members, in addition to the Director of Health Professions Advising, who can support a comprehensive analysis and understanding of your chosen topic.  It is strongly recommended that students register for 3 credits in fall in order to organize and initiate the project and 3 credits in the spring to complete and present the project.

MEDS 594 - Journal Club, 1 credit, (MSU)

Life-long learning and professional development are encouraged through this course as students present clinical research articles, practice interview strategies and evaluate case studies.
