Montana State Mass Spectrometry Facility
Laser-Ablation ICP-MS Technology Access Grants Open for Application!!
The mission of the Montana State Mass Spectrometry Facility is to seed methods, technology, and applications to research labs at Montana State University and affiliated programs. This facility offers a full range of services from single samples to complete shotgun proteomics and metabolomics projects. In addition to providing analytical services, the Facility also operates as an open-access resource with 24/7 availability to researches: users may operate instruments independently for rapid sample analysis and time-sensitive experiments.
Periodic hands-on training sessions are offered by the Facility. The goal of the training modules is to expand facility access to researchers with little previous training in mass spectrometry. Individual training can also be arranged. The Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Facility is supported with funding from the MJ Murdock Charitable Trust, the National Institute of General Medical Sciences of the National Institutes of Health under Award Number P20GM103474, and Montana State University.
Recommended guidelines for authorship on manuscripts
How should we acknowledge or include core facility personnel as authors? (the publication of results and data interpretation provided by the core facility)
Please follow the below link to Association of Biomolecular Resources Facilities (ABRF) site on recommended guidelines for including core facility personnel as co-authors in publications. https://abrf.org/authorship-guidelines
"Publication record is essential to ensure a high-quality core facility and for the professional development of its staff, we ask our users to carefully consider the input of core members to scientific publications"
