ITEM No. 4 – RECOMMENDATION – Plant Growth Topsoil Dry Storage Shed
Presenter: Richard Rudnicki
Richard Rudnicki presented the recommendation to install a topsoil dry storage shed to the rear (west side) of the Plant Growth Center. Construction and maintenance costs will be assumed by the College of Agriculture with the shed being constructed as a student project.
The location of the shed and existing dumpsters will not impede the accessibility of the service drive and in accordance with the City of Bozeman must be constructed at a distance greater than 50-feet from the centerline of the nearby watercourse. Furthermore, the shed should not impede the water conveyance facility’s ongoing maintenance, per city regulations.
Tom Rogers, representing the City of Bozeman, opposed the recommendation due to lack of reassurance that the location was sufficiently distanced from the watercourse in adherence with city regulations.
Kris Johnson moved to approve the general area outlined, subject to the final location being negotiated in concert with Facilities Services, Emergency Services and the University Police Department.
Chris Fastnow seconded the motion.
The Vote: 14 Aye, 1 Nay (Tom Rogers)
