ITEM No. 4 – RECOMMENDATION – Cobleigh Hall NACOE Photography Display

Presenter: Richard Rudnicki, Planning Manager

The MSU College of Engineering is proposing the installation of a photographic display in the Cobleigh Hall First Floor 1st floor hallway. The hallway is currently unadorned. The Public Art and Artifacts Committee was supportive of this item but determined that this proposal was not under the committee’s purview and declined to make a recommendation.

Durward Sobek moved to approve the Cobleigh Hall NACOE Photograph Display, Ian Godwin seconded the motion, and the recommendation was approved unanimously.

 

ITEM No. 5 – RECOMMENDATION – Norm Asbjornson Hall STEM Display

Presenter: Richard Rudnicki, Planning Manager

The MSU College of Engineering is proposing the installation of an artistic display highlighting the contributions of women in STEM. The proposed location is outside the west entrance to Inspiration Hall on the 2nd floor of Norm Asbjornson Hall. The display is intended to remain in place until the end of the fall 2022 semester. The Public Art and Artifacts Committee was supportive of this item but determined that this proposal was not under the committee’s purview and declined to make a recommendation.

Sreekala Bajwa moved to approve the Norm Asbjornson Hall STEM Display, Mike McNeil seconded the motion, and the recommendation was approved unanimously.
