A native of Billings, Groseth served as executive director of the Montana State University Alumni Association from 1992-2008. She assumed the role of president in 2008 and served through the 2012 formation of the MSU Alumni Foundation. This dynamic MSU graduate joined the MSU family in 1975 as assistant director of admissions and became director in 1982. Over the course of her career, Groseth worked tirelessly to develop new initiatives, preserve MSU traditions and entice students and alumni to connect with MSU. Under her 20-year leadership, the MSU Alumni Association grew to record levels. She  created new traditions at MSU, facilitated alumni relations inside and beyond Montana borders and helped lay foundation for current success. Her love of MSU, her respect for and honor of our history and culture combined with her incredible work ethic served MSU well.  All of this energy and love circled around the women in her life and on campus.  She mentored countless young women through their college years.  She made sure every member of the MSU family felt a part of MSU whether just starting or returning after 70 years.

There is no kinder person, no one with a better sense of humor, no better advocate of higher education, and no greater representative of MSU for so many years than Jaynee Groseth.
