to the Competitive Sports program, providing campus Intramural & Club Sports opportunities
to the MSU community.
Club Sports
Club Sports teams travel to compete with other university clubs or in private tournaments
but are not sponsored university athletic programs or regulated by the NCAA. Each
team is created, developed, and governed by the student members, with guidance from
the Campus Recreation Department. Club Sports allow students to continue competing
in sports that may or may not be offered at a collegiate level. Teams also participate
in community service and fundraising events in the Bozeman and MSU communities.
Intramurals
Intramural sports provide opportunities for MSU students, faculty, and staff to participate
in a variety of sports in a recreational but competitive atmosphere. The purpose of
Intramural Sports is to encourage well-being, fostering sportsmanship and fair play
among participants and spectators through inclusive practices. We offer a variety
of leagues for members to join including flag football, soccer, volleyball, basketball,
ultimate frisbee and more. All are welcome—come find your play!
