Anatis leconteiAnatis lecontei is also known as the giant lady beetle. It is about 10-mm long and 8-mm wide. Like other lady beetles, both the larva and adult feed on aphids and other small insects. This species has a noticeable black border around the elytra with no spots. Anatis lecontei is typically found along the Rocky Mountain range from April through September on trees.
