Heriades sp.

Bees in the Heriades genus are solitary and nest in abandoned wood cavities created by other insects or in pinecones. They use resin to make the cells of their nest. These bees carry pollen on the underside of their abdomens, instead of on leg pockets like many other bees. There are more than 20 species of this genus in North and Central America.
