Autographa californica

Autographa californica is also known as the alfalfa looper.  The forewing is 14- to 20-mm long. The adults fly during the day and at night and there are multiple generations of offspring produced every year. The larvae commonly feed on alfalfa, clover, and other wide varieties of plants.
